Greenland Center has five towers scattered in four plots, connected to the podiums by an elevated corridor. Looking from both sides of the river, the sequence of height of the five towers outlines a “mountainous” skyline, creating a new urban landscape. In order to echo the scale of the low-rise buildings along the block, the podium space is moderately segmented to continue the urban pulse. Based on the traditional shopping center program, the four blocks of podiums are connected in the form of open blocks to stimulate each other’s commercial potential. At the same time, a loose spatial structure of segemental space variation is adopted to eliminate poor spatial organization.
